Current projects 2026:
African women’s charity FORWARD
Ongoing consultancy for African women’s charity FORWARD, Arts Council England bid writing, arts project design, event and social media support and leading a website refresh. Watch this space for more exciting arts projects doing what we do best promoting positive music, more women acts, all to promote the important work that FORWARD is doing to end violence (inc. female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage) against African women and girls in the UK and in various African countries.
We have also provided the following support to various arts organisations and artists in 2025:
- copy writing for press releases and project summaries
- bid writing with Arts Council England and Arts Council Wales
- social media support
- agent provision, booking artists in UK venues and festivals
- project evaluation reports
Cymraeg Mandinka Connections:
Thanks to support from Tŷ Cerdd and African Night Fever we are excited to present ‘Cymraeg Mandinka Connections’ which seeks to emphasise the parallels between the sharing of ancient folklore through music in Wales and Gambia.
This collaboration features Gambian kora player Sura Susso and Welsh vocalist Mari Mathias, drawing upon both artists’ profound respect, knowledge, and expertise in musical storytelling, blending ancient and contemporary stories and musical genres. It offers listeners a glimpse into Welsh and Gambian folklore that resonates with modern times.
The creation of new collaborative works will be toured in Wales and England in 2026 (details below). The artists will also be delivering musical storytelling workshops to Refugees & Asylum Seekers and other marginalised groups through some amazing charities in Wales. We are super excited for this! Its going to be beautiful!
